ATLANTA - UC Irvine women's basketball has been named to the 2023-24 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll as announced Wednesday by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
 
The Anteaters earned special mention for finishing the academic year with a team grade-point average above a 3.0. UCI's 14-person roster, which represented 10 different majors, combined for a 3.362 GPA in 2023-24. The 'Eaters produced six 4.0 quarter GPAs throughout the year.
 
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPA inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
 
The 2023-24 season is the 29th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls, while it is the third time the WBCA has recognized all teams that qualified for consideration for the Top 25 rankings by meeting the minimum 3.0 GPA.
