IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine men's tennis has been recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team for the eighth-straight year, while
Matthew Sah was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete as announced Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

UCI, which won the 2024 Big West Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in the last three seasons, was one of 176 men's tennis programs to receive All-Academic Team distinction. To be eligible, all student-athletes must combine for a minimum 3.20 team grade-point average for the 2023-24 academic year.

Individually, graduate student
Matthew Sah garnered his fifth ITA Scholar-Athlete award. He is also a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and four-time Big West All-Academic honoree. On the court, Sah earned his second career All-Big West nod in doubles in 2024. Sah graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science last year and is currently working toward his master's in software engineering.

To be eligible for the ITA Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes must have carried a minimum 3.50 GPA for the 2023-24 academic year.
