LA JOLLA, Calif. - Junior Logan Peyton kicked off the Triton Invitational for the UC Irvine men's track & field team Friday at UC San Diego's Triton Track & Field Stadium.
 
Only two men's events were held on the first day of the meet, and Peyton was the lone Anteater competing in the javelin. He placed fourth out of 22 with a toss of 60.72 meters (199-2).
 
The 'Eaters will be back in action on Saturday with a full day of events set for a 9:30 a.m. start.
