IRVINE, Calif.— UC Irvine women's tennis hosts UC Riverside in the Anteaters home opener (Feb. 8) before welcoming Santa Clara two days later (Feb. 10).

Scouting UC Riverside
UC Riverside is 0-4 entering the contest and have played all four matches on their home court. The Highlanders dropped to Long Beach State, 7-0, in their Big West opening match. UCR has also faced the likes of Colorado (L, 7-0), Nebraska (L, 7-0), and San Jose State (L, 6-1).
Freshman Crystal Kim picked up the Highlanders lone win of the season in her No. 3 singles victory against the Spartans. Kim won the first set, dropped the second, but managed to fight through to get the victory in the third set.

Scouting Santa Clara
Santa Clara is 1-1 to start the season and have played both their matches on their home court. The Broncos defeated the Academy of Art (W, 7-0) in their season opener before falling to Fresno State the following day (L, 5-2). Santa Clara will make a stop at Concordia University Irvine before facing the Anteaters.
The Broncos are led by JennaMarie Gordon in singles action with her 2-0 record at the No. 1 spot. Varya Zlotnik is also 2-0 in dual match action at the No. 5 position. Two different Santa Clara pairings have earned at least one in doubles play.
