Anteaters Pick up Three Singles Wins on Day 2 in San Diego

SAN DIEGO - The UC Irvine men's tennis team won three of its four singles matches against Navy at the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic Saturday afternoon.
Rithvik Krishna and Max Fardanesh both improved to 2-0 with their second straight-set victories of the weekend. Krishna defeated Herrick Legaspi, 6-4, 7-6 (6), while Fardanesh dispatched Luke Garner, 6-1, 6-3.
Sohrob Amiryavari added his first win as an Anteater as he upended Tommy Kim, 6-4, 6-0.
The 'Eaters also squared off against Navy in doubles, dropping a pair of 6-4 decisions.
UC Irvine wraps up action in San Diego with doubles and singles matches against Cal starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Hogan Tennis Center.
