SCORING BREAKDOWN
- First period: Verdegaal fed Padua in the center of the cage where he battled two defenders for the spike into the cage. No. 7/7 Long Beach State scored two to lead, 2-1.
- Second period: UCI used the deflection off the defense to reset their offense that led to Luka Krstic passing to Baxter at the top of the formation. The Anteaters goal was sandwiched between two goals from the Beach on each end, 6-2.
- Third period: Both teams went back and forth in the period to add to their totals. As time was winding down, Cass found J. Dale for the launch over the hands of the LBSU keeper, still trailing, 8-4.
