Garrett Selby put on a show in the cage to help the Anteaters to a 15-8 victory over No. 13/14 Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon.

Selby recorded a career high 11 saves in 32 minutes of action.

- Jake Liechty, Gage Verdegaal, and Johann Thrall all notched hat-tricks in the contest
- Juniors Thomas Cass and Stewart Campbell tallied multiple goals, scoring two each

SCORING BREAKDOWN
- First period: UC Irvine and No. 13/14 Loyola Marymount returned each others goals in the first four minutes. The Anteaters were able to add two more to their total off an upper right corner shot and deflection to lead, 4-2.

- Second period: On a power play, Leichty quickly got the ball to Campbell for the back door deposit. The 'Eaters held the Lions scoreless to break the game open, 7-2.

- Third period: Cass kicked off the period with his floating shot over the LMU goalkeeper who was too far out of the cage. Despite tallying two goals to cut the Anteater lead down, UCI kept their advantage, 11-5.

- Fourth period: Two Anteaters complete their hat-trick efforts in the final stanza. In a back and forth call and answer goal scoring period, UC Irvine prevailed, 15-8.
