IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's basketball team is set to embark on a foreign tour to the Guadeloupe Islands, July 24-August 2.
Â
During their time in Guadeloupe, the 'Eaters will host two youth clinics and play two games against local teams. In addition, they are slated to compete in a 3x3 tournament. Off the court, they will have the opportunity to visit places like Saint-Anne Beach, Ilet Caret and the Memorial Acte Museum.
"It is one of the most exciting parts of my job to be able to take our team outside of their comfort zone to a different country," said head coach
Tamara Inoue. "I love watching our student-athletes immerse themselves in another culture, give back to the local communities and youth, and grow both on and off the court in a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
This is UCI women's basketball's second foreign tour under Inoue as the Anteaters also made their way to Japan in August 2019.
