VNL Begins

IRVINE, Calif – The Volleyball Nations League (VNL) will hold the third and final preliminary round at the Anaheim Convention Center July 4-9, 2023 with five Anteaters dotting the rosters of two countries.
 
The VNL features 16 national teams competing in three weeks of preliminary rounds across seven different countries. Teams play four matches a week with the top seven advancing to the finals.
 
Eight teams will compete in Anaheim: USA, Iran, Argentina, France, Germany, Serbia, Bulgaria and Cuba.
 
The U.S. 30-man roster features three-time Olympian and bronze medalist David Smith ('07), Kyle Russell ('16) and Franceso Sani who recently completed his junior year.
 
Olympian and gold medalist Kevin Tillie ('13) and current Anteater Hilir Henno will compete for France.

Final rosters have not been released for the matches in Anaheim.
