FROM HEAD COACH RUSSELL TURNER
"I don't think it was easy for us to come in and compete at a high level. We played 16 guys tonight and that is also not easy to do. We are a group that can be effective."
"I thought Hayden with his physicality and energy was effective with a couple of great offensive rebound buckets that he can give us. It's great to have Langston out there and I trust him out there as a competitor. In my mind he is a proven player even though he redshirted last year. Derin had a good second half and we know his talent is there."Â
FROM DEVIN TILLIS
"Coming in this year I knew I had to be one of the guys to set the tone for the younger players and how we do things around here. I think the biggest thing we learned tonight was creating energy. When we have energy, we're good. When we're on the floor and grabbing rebounds and we play big, we're really good."
