FROM HEAD COACH RUSSELL TURNER
"We got beat. The other team was tougher than we were tonight, much like our first game on the road this season. I give our guys credit for fighting hard and keeping ourselves in the game. We are not typically a team that turns the ball over like we did tonight. It put us on our heels. We didn't make enough plays against their aggression."

"We want to be aggressive on offense and we have had a really good assist to turnover ratio because we are aggressive. We looked hurried and soft. We didn't execute on big main plays."

FIRST HALF
>Both teams were slow to get started with a Justin Hohn hitting the first basket, a three-pointer, four minutes in, 3-0
>Following a Duquesne basket the next time down the court, an Andre Henry layup down the lane and a Devin Tillis three put the Anteaters up by six (8-2) at 14:56
>A 9-0 spurt by the Anteaters, that saw Ofure Ujadughele finding Dean Keeler (10:16) and Derin Saran (9:41) for layups followed by a three-pointer by Henry (8:26) and a pair of free throws by Carter Welling (7:57), 27-16
>The Dukes answered with the next 12 points, ignited by a dunk, that started a 19-4 run over the final eight minutes to take a 35-31 lead at the half

SECOND HALF
>Hohn opened the second frame with a layup before Duquesne went on an 8-0 run to take a 10-point lead at 16:11 (43-33)
>Saran (15:56) and Henry (15:14) had consecutive layups to keep UCI close, 43-27
>Tillis drove to the hoop and scored at 9:15 (48-56). That would be the last time either team would score for almost four minutes until Hohn had a pair of free throws to draw within 50-56 at 5:37
>The Anteaters chipped away on a C. Welling put-back (3:42) and a Hohn three from the right side (3:02), 55-61
>Out of a timeout, Hohn knocked down another three-pointer at 1:18 to close within a possession (58-61) forcing a Duquesne timeout
>A pair of free throws for the Dukes proceeded two free throws by Henry (19.9)
>Duquesne hit the first of two free throws before Dean Keeler slid to the basket with seven seconds left to keep the game within two, 62-64
>Two more free throws for the Dukes with four seconds remaining sealed the 66-62 victory
