IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine men's water polo player
Luka Krstic was named the Big West Player of the Week on Wednesday afternoon the conference announced.
This is the program's second Big West weekly honor in their inaugural year in the league as well as the sophomore's first career honor.
Krstic led UC Irvine to two wins this week behind his six goals, two assists, and three steals.
On Wednesday evening, Krstic poured in three goals on four shots while stealing the ball once to help in the Anteaters 23-13 effort over Westcliff.
In a low scoring affair at No. 10/10 UC Santa Barbara, the attacker contributed three goals to UCI's eight total for the day along with assisting on two other tallies and had two steals in the one point victory.

The sophomore had two consecutive hat-tricks in the week of action and put together his fifth and sixth consecutive multi-goal games.
Krstic and the Anteaters will return to action on Saturday October 28 for a 12 p.m. start against No. 7/7 UC Davis.
