PALO ALTO, Calif. – No. 13 UC Irvine men's water polo (5-6) outlast the No. 9 San Jose State's (5-6) counter attack, held on for the 12-11 victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

>Jacob earned the start in goal, making two saves
>Ethan Shipman led all players in goals and shots with four of each
