Chol, hailing from Georgia, lettered in football, basketball, and track during his time at Forsyth Central High School. In his senior campaign, Eli averaged 19.3 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, and 5.4 blocks per game. The center's success in his senior season earned him the GHSA Class 7A Most Improved title.
