IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine women's basketball has made a couple opponent changes to its 2022-23 non-conference schedule.
 
UCI will now kick off the campaign against NCAA Division III affiliate Whittier College. The Anteaters and Poets are scheduled to tip-off at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. It will be the first meeting between the two programs since 1977.
 
The 'Eaters, who were originally slated to host Westcliff University (NAIA) in their season opener, will now take on the Warriors in an 11 a.m. game at the Bren Events Center on Wednesday, Dec. 14. UC Irvine is 2-0 against Westcliff, winning each of the last two meetings in 2020 and 2021.
