TULSA, Okla. - Sophomore 
Noah Zamora won his first two matches without dropping a set at the prestigious ITA All-American Championships Saturday at LaFortune Park.
 
Zamora kicked off his 2022 fall tournament season with a 7-5, 6-3 opening-round victory over Joao Sasso of the University of the Incarnate Word. He returned to the court in the evening, cruising to an impressive 6-0, 6-3 triumph over Wake Forest's Matthew Thomson in the Round of 128.
 
Senior 
Ali Amiri was also in action, going 1-1 on the day. Amiri was up first with a morning match and earned the Anteaters' first victory of the season. He took down UNLV's Dusan Rsovac, 6-3, 7-5, before falling to Dario Kmet of Abilene Christian, 6-4, 6-3, in the Round of 128.
Zamora is back in action Sunday at 11 a.m. (CT)/9 a.m. (PT) at the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center. He will face UNC's Christopher Li in the Round of 64. Zamora needs two more wins to move on to the Qualifying Singles Draw.
