MEN'S INDOOR VOLLEYBALL (France – Kevin Tillie)
France has never won a medal in volleyball. It is assured one in 2020 as Kevin Tillie and the French team will battle ROC in the gold medal match Saturday, Aug. 7 at 5:15 a.m. PT

France, who is currently ranked No.4 in FIVB world rankings, beat No. 3 Poland, 3-2 and No. 6 Argentina, 3-0 on the way to Saturday's gold medal match. ROC is second in the world rankings.

In the first meeting in Pool play, France beat the ROC, 3-1.

Tillie, a two-time All-American and national champion at UCI, and the French team are coached by his father Laurent Tillie who himself is a two-time Olympian.

WOMEN'S INDOOR VOLLEYBALL (USA - Michelle Bartsch-Hackley)
The U.S. Women's Volleyball Team (6-1) advanced to the Gold Medal Match with an impressive 25-19, 25-15, 25-23 semifinal win over Serbia on Aug. 6. Former UCI men's volleyball assistant coach Michelle Bartsch-Hackley finished with seven kills, eight digs and two blocks.

The Americans, who avenged their semifinal loss to the Serbians five years ago in Rio, are set to face Brazil in the final on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific Time = 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7).

It is the fourth-straight Olympic Games that will see the U.S. Women's Volleyball Team playing for a medal, and the third time since 2008 they will play for gold. They have won three silver medals (1992, 2008, 2012) and two bronze (1984, 2016).

WOMEN'S WATER POLO (USA-Dan Klatt, Melissa Seidemann, Jamie Neushul, Alys Williams, Kaleigh Gilchrist)
The U.S. women's water polo team came back from a halftime deficit to defeat the ROC, 15-11, in the semifinals. Former UCI assistants Melissa Seidemann and Alys Williams each scored a goal with Kaleigh Gilchrist playing 10 minutes.

Coach Klatt and the Americans will play for Gold August 7 at 12:30 a.m. PDT against Spain. Coach Klatt and the squad are guaranteed a medal, but are vying for their third consecutive Gold.

MEN'S WATER POLO (Croatia - Lovre Milos)
Croatia never trailed in a 12-10 win over Montenegro in its first classification game on Aug. 6. Lovre Milos started and scored one goal in 22 minutes played. He found the back of the net to put the Croatians up, 5-3, with three minutes left in the second quarter.

Milos and his teammates will now face the United States in the fifth-place game on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. (Pacific Time = 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7).
