Served as an assistant coach with the U.S. Women's National Team from 2010-21

Klatt was hired as head coach of the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo program in 2005

In 2020, the Anteaters achieved the highest national ranking in program history at No. 3

In just his second year with the UCI men's program, Klatt's squad won the Big West regular season and tournament championship
He graduated from UCI in 2001 and was a two-time All-American on the men’s water polo team under legendary head coach Ted Newland
