LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State topped UC Irvine in the two-day Black & Blue Challenge which concluded at the El Dorado Golf Course Thursday.
LBSU ended the event with a 36-hole score of 592 (292-300), beating the Anteaters who finished with a total of 600 (294-306).
UCI's
Megan Yang (72-76),
Cameron Lee (71-77) and
Sienna Lyford (71-77) all finished with a score of 148 and were tied for third.
Freshman
Coco Yang shot a 76 on the final round and finished with a score of 156, while
Angela Bagasbas had a score of 162 (80-82).
Junior
Madison Riggs, who missed yesterday's competition, began her 2021 season with a team-best score of 75.
LBSU's Holland Shourds had the best round of the day with a 74 and finished a shot behind Angelina Kim who carded a tournament-best 145 (70-75).
UCI will head to its final regular season tournament, the Fresno State Classic, Monday and Tuesday (Apr. 12-13).
