LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Football Club has announced Anteater winger Roberto Molina as its newest signee to begin his professional career with its USL Championship affiliate, Las Vegas Lights FC.

"I want to thank Yossi, Cale, Yonha, and all the coaches at UCI first and foremost," Molina noted. "Also my teammates, I want to thank them. Without them I wouldn't be the person I am today, on the field and off it. I'm grateful for the opportunity they gave me, and I'm here for the next chapter. I wish nothing but the best to UCI soccer and look forward to more to come from the program."

The exciting forward played his freshman season as an Anteater coming from Barca Academy and ASU Prep Academy in Arizona by way of North Hollywood, Valley Village, and his native Sonsonate, El Salvador. Molina was part of the 2019 signing class listed as the best in the country where he was ranked No. 17 in the region.

Molina's one season as an Anteater, he was recognized on the Big West All-Freshman Team alongside Eddy Berumen and Oscar Cervantes. He was on the pitch for all 19 matches, 17 as a starter scoring three times in games against Creighton, Cal State Fullerton, and Pacific, and adding three assists.

Las Vegas Lights FC became an affiliate of LAFC prior to the 2021 season, and will begin their season May 5 making one of six trips to Southern California to play at Los Angeles Galaxy II. Molina will be joining fellow Anteater, Daniel Crisostomo, who was also signed to the squad Monday morning after playing the past two season with Orange County SC.
