Anteaters Open Season With Eighth Place Finish

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's golf team began the season with an eighth place finish at the Lamkin Invitational held at The Farms Golf Club.
The Anteaters shot a three-round score of 955 (322-316-317) to claim eighth. USC won both the team (880) and individual titles (Allisen Corpuz, 214).
Junior Sienna Lyford led UC Irvine, tying for 22nd place after carding a three-round total of 230 (76-72-82). Lyford, who shot an even par 72 in the second round, was fourth among the tournament field in Par 3 scoring (E), while collecting six birdies.
Senior Cameron Lee was tied for 34th with a score of 237 (84-77-76), improving every round. She had a team-best 34 Pars.
Sophomore Olivia Canales was 43rd with a score of 243 (80-83-80), while freshman CoCo Yang was 45th at 245 982-84-79) and junior Angela Bagasbas was tied for 50th with a 252 total (84-85-83).
