FULLERTON, Calif. – In a non-conference match, UCI narrowly dropped a 4-3 decision to Cal State Fullerton, Wednesday afternoon.

Three of the six singles went into three sets as the match was ultimately decided at the No. 2 position. CSF's Eira Tobrand narrowly beat Halla Alajeely, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to clinch the match.

UCI started out strong, winning the doubles point. Jenna Schlatter and Arianna Tilbury defeated Jadie Acidera and Camila Garcia, 6-4. Dasee Carter and Emily Fowler followed with a 6-4 win at No. 3.

CSF tied it up with a win at No. 6 singles before Alyssia Fossorier defeated YuSeung Suh at No. 3, 6-1, 7-5. The Titans would take the next two points with wins at No. 5 and 4.
At the top spot, Jessica Tsukiji defeated Misaki Kobayaski, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, to tie the match, 3-3.
