Coaches Corner with Yossi Raz
April 01, 2020 | Men's Soccer
In these uncertain and unprecedented times that surround athletics, campus communities, the nation, and the world, UCI head coach Yossi Raz wanted to reach out to 'Eater Nation with a message of positivity.
"I feel proud that during such a crucial time for humanity, the leaders of our institution at UCI choose to place the health and physical/mental well-being of all of us in athletics as a priority. Throughout these hard days, we are all experiencing uncertainty, but as decisions unfold it's clear to see that our university is going to do right by its members.
In the meanwhile, we all need to do our part and help flatten the curve and protect our community and loved ones across the globe. We can all use this time to pause and reflect and come out of it stronger, clear-minded, and more determined to better our environment and how we conduct our lives as coaches and players, but more importantly as people in society.
I trust our leaders at the university and the athletic department, and hope that this message strengthens its readers to stay positive and believe that we all are going to be ok once this pandemic passes.
Stay safe – Stay positive – Believe in the good in life and soon enough we will get back to our normal routines.
We as the Men's Soccer family of UCI wishes everyone great health. We look forward to returning to action soon and displaying our fun and entertaining brand in order to bring you all the joy of the beautiful game here at UCI once again.
Stay Strong 'Eaters..."
