No. 13 'Eaters Fall Short to No. 4 Cal at Triton Invite

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The 13th-ranked UC Irvine men's water polo team dropped its final game of the 2019 Triton Invitational to No. 4 Cal, 11-6, Sunday afternoon at Canyonview Aquatics Center.
UCI moves to 2-2 on the season. The Bears finished the weekend 3-1. The Anteaters and Cal battled it out in the third-place game of the tournament.

> Grant Chiponis scored twice for the 'Eaters, marking his first collegiate goals
> Freshman Kiyan Mohebbizadeh and Chad Gornay each scored their first collegiate goals

> UCI outscored Cal 3-2 in the final quarter but it wasn't enough as the Anteaters fell, 11-6
