UCI completes its non-conference schedule with a 12-4 record which ties for the most regular season non-conference wins in program history. UTRGV moves to 8-8 on the season.

Elston Jones finished with his first career double-double tallying 10 points and game-high 11 rebounds. Jones also had three blocks

Max Hazzard went 6-7 (.857) from three-point range to finish with a game-high 23 points while
Eyassu Worku dished out seven assistsÂ

> UCI took a quick 14-1 lead at the first media timeout (14:44). Leonard hit two 3-pointers while Hazzard had one in that stretchÂ
> UTRGV went on a 6-0 run to bring the game within seven, 14-7, with 12:25 remaining
> A Hazzard three-pointer started a 12-6 run for the 'Eaters that stretched their lead to 32-17 with 4:45 left to play

Jonathan Galloway to give UCI its largest lead of the frame, 36-17, with under a minute to play
> The Vaqueros hit a jumper at the buzzer to make it 36-19 at the half
> Jones had nine rebounds while Hazzard went 4-4 from behind three-point line tallying 15 points

> UTRGV opened up the frame with a 6-3 run to make it 39-25 with 18:39 left to play
> The Anteaters answered scoring seven unanswered points to take a 46-25 lead (16:31)Â
> An 8-0 run gave UCI its largest lead of the game, 57-29, at 13:31
> The Vaqueros used an 11-2 run to close the gap, 61-44, with 11:28 to play before Hazzard made two free throws followed by his sixth 3-pointer to give UCI a 66-46 lead (10:54)
> The 'Eaters maintained a 20-point, 85-65, advantage with under two minutes remaining however, UTRGV closed out the game with nine-straight points to make it 85-74 at the final buzzer
