IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine family adds someone from the UC Irvine family in Jenni Pham.

The midfielder out of Chula Vista, Calif. and Eastlake High School is joining UCI much like her father did.

"Jenni is a fabulous technician," said head coach Scott Juniper of the central midfielder. "She is smart on the ball, knows how to get out of pressure, and has a very nice tempo in possession of the ball. She is a natural central player who will likely sit just in front of the back line."

The technician helped lead Eastlake HS to a pair of league titles and CIF titles in each of the past two season. Over her four years, the squad put up a 65-19-10 record adding up to all-league honors as a senior for Pham. She spent some time with Rangers Soccer Club on the club circuit before joining up with Rebels where she's played the last seven years.

Pham's skills have also included a stint on the cross country team and helping out with the church and youth groups. She has her sights on joining the bio and medical programs at the university as she graduates high school a principal's honor roll member.
