IRVINE, Calif. - With the outdoor track & field season set to begin on Saturday, March 3, we'll be getting to know a few members of the 2018 team, starting with junior transfer
Mychal Robinson.
Â
Robinson spent two years at Orange Coast College where she was a conference champion in the 100m hurdles. The Tustin native was also a CCCAA Southern California Regional qualifier. She comes to UC Irvine with a personal-best 14.31 in the 100H.

1. All in the Family
I have several family members who went pro in sports. One of them is my second cousin, Bobby Wagner. He plays for the Seattle Seahawks.Â
Â
2. Marvel Mania
I really got into Marvel this past summer and watched every film in chronological order. And yes, I've seen Black Panther... twice.
3. Music Festivals
Almost every music festival I attended last year, I got in for free. It was nice going to Coachella for three days without having to pay. I also had gnarly passes that granted me all-access.Â
Â
4. Night Drive
I love to go on random night drives and just listen to chill music. I usually end up at my favorite bakery in Newport Beach.Â
Â
5. Helping Hand
I really enjoy helping the community and doing charitable events. I think it is important to give back and put people in good spirits. I tend to take certain things for granted since I grew up in Orange County, and doing something charitable is a real eye-opener.Â

EXTRAS
What are your goals for the outdoor season?
Focus on myself, run fast, and compete to win. If I do those three things, I know I will have a great outdoor season.
Â
If you could spend a day with any celebrity, who would it be?
Michael Jackson or Kendrick Lamar. They both have similar characteristics such as always giving back to the community while remaining humble.
Â
Dream vacation destination:Â
I always wanted to backpack through Europe with some close friends, but if I had to pick one spot, it would be Spain. It is a beautiful country.Â
