Canales Earns Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week

This week's Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week is Ivan Canales of the men's soccer team. The senior forward scored 4 goals and added an assist in two UC Irvine victories last week, including two overtime game winners.
Canales scored his first game winner on Senior Night against Cal State Fullerton, tapping home a rebound off a free kick in the 102nd minute. Against Cal Poly, Canales scored the game winner with two seconds left in double overtime to clinch the Big West regular season title. Canales now leads the Big West in goals (10) and points (25).
Canales and the 'Eaters have their final match of the season this Saturday, Oct. 27, when they travel to CSUN to take on the Matadors at 7:00 p.m. After that, they head straight to the semifinals of the Big West Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, November 3, at Anteater Stadium.
