Greg Patenaude Named Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week
October 16, 2018 | Men's Soccer
This week's Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week is goalkeeper Greg Patenaude of the men's soccer team. The redshirt senior went 1-0-1 last week, making a career-high 10 saves in a 2-1 win over No. 25 UC Davis.
The keeper seemed to get his body in front of everything, even making a save off of his face late in the game against Davis. Patenaude is the first UCI goalkeeper to record double-digit saves in a match since Michael Breslin in 2012. He then added three saves in a 2-2 draw against Big West foe UC Santa Barbara on Saturday night.
Fans can cheer on Patenaude and the 'Eaters in their last home match of the season this Wednesday, Oct. 17, against Cal State Fullerton at 7 p.m. The team then travels to San Luis Obispo to take on Cal Poly on Oct. 21 before finishing the season at Cal State Northridge on Oct. 27.
