IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's and women's tennis teams had their Sunday non-conference matches canceled due to inclement weather.
The women's team was scheduled to host San Jose State today at 9 a.m., but that start time was pushed back to 12 p.m. after early-morning rain hit the area. The rain did not let up in the afternoon forcing the match to be canceled. The 'Eaters will now prepare for their Big West opener on Thurday, March 2, when they host Cal State Fullerton at 1:30 p.m.
The UCI men's team saw its 1 p.m. match against Fresno State rained out. The Anteaters will be back in action at the Pacific Coast Doubles Tournament in La Jolla, March 3-5.
