IRVINE, Calif. – Junior Sebastian Heim (Speyer, Germany) has been named the Big West Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Wednesday.

Heim picked up a big win last Saturday at 10th-ranked USC as he downed No. 28 Logan Smith. On the road and at the No. 1 spot, Heim came from behind to topple Smith, 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4), and end the Trojans' bid for a sweep. It was Heim's second victory over a ranked Pac-12 foe as he also defeated No. 118 Sameer Kumar of Stanford in October.

Heim is still working his way back into top form after dealing with an injury that kept him from training over the summer and an illness that sidelined him for the majority of the fall season.

This was Heim's sixth career weekly award. He is now tied with Fabian Matthews for the most Big West weekly honors in program history.
