RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Junior Lloyd Sicard had a major role in two UC Irvine event wins Saturday at the UC Riverside Spring Classic.
Sicard won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.91 seconds with Kyle Hubbard finishing fifth (14.55) and Oliver Pham 10th (14.72).
Sicard's time is presently No. 12 in the nation this season.
Sicard ran the third leg of UCI's winning 4x400 relay (3:13.49) as he was joined by Antwon Parker, Isaiah Jewett and Brandon Howard.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Cameron Vaca finished second with a time of 53.56, Howard was fourth (54.13) and Hubbard seventh (54.70).
Jake Williams (1:53.80) and Jewett (1:54.38) finished fifth and sixth in the 800 meters while Duane Solomon placed eighth in the 100 meters in 10.84 and ninth in the 200 meters (22.04).
David Aguilar finished eighth in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:57.36 and Parker was ninth in the 400 meters (49.43).
In the 3,000 meters, Izzak Mireles was eighth in 8:47.93 and Eric Lawver 10th (8:54.75).
In the throws, Matt Seawright placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 172-5, Omar Valenzuela was seventh (156-0) and Lawrence O'Hara 10th (152-11).
Mike Graf finished fourth in the javelin throw at 177-4 while in the shot put, O'Hara was fifth in at 53-5 ¾ and Jon Dickinson 10th at 47-0 ¾.
In the hammer-throw competition Friday, Seawright was fourth with a mark of 193-2.
The Anteaters placed sixth in the team standings with 74 points with Cornell's 147 points winning the meet.
