
Lloyd Sicard Gains 2nd Big West Award of Season

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine sophomore Lloyd Sicard has been named the Big West Conference Athlete of the Week in men's track for the second time this season.
Sicard (Gardena/Serra HS) ran the fastest 110-meter hurdles time in UC Irvine history under all conditions with a time of 13.78 seconds at the Mt. SAC Relays last Saturday, finishing as the third collegian in the event.
His time ranks No. 1 in the Big West this season, sixth in the West Region and 13th nationally.
Sicard, who also earned the conference's weekly honor Mar. 24, was Big West Freshman of the Year last season in men's track.
UCI hosts the 21st annual adidas/Steve Scott Invitational May 1-2 at Anteater Stadium.
