No. 5 Anteaters Complete Fluid Four Trifecta

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. --- UC Irvine leaves the Fluid Four with a trio of victories after dispatching of the Hartwick Hawks, 14-7, Sunday morning.
The unranked Hawks (8-15) gave the 'Eaters a fight in the first half. Nothing was settled early as the Hawks came back to tie the match in the first, 2-2, after trailing 2-0, and 5-5 late in the first half thanks to three goals from Blanca Anton Cuesta.
Cambria Shockley would give UCI (12-6) the one-goal advantage at the half with a strike from the penalty spot with three seconds remaining to make it 6-5.
Hartwick continued to hang around behind just 9-7 after three periods before the 'Eaters flexed their fourth-quarter muscles with five goals led by a pair from Destene Albers and McKenna Mitchell each to complete hat tricks and finish the match, 14-7, in favor of UCI.
The 'Eaters are back in the pool on Sat. March 14 with a 12:00 p.m. match at Loyola Marymount.
