Lloyd Sicard Earns Big West Weekly Honor

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine sophomore Lloyd Sicard has been named the Big West Conference Athlete of the Week in men's track.
Sicard was a double-winner in the UCI Spring Break Invitational at Anteater Stadium last weekend.
He placed first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.95 seconds that currently ranks No. 5 in the nation and leads the Big West. That also is an improvement on his No. 3 time in Anteater history.
Sicard captured the 400-meter hurdles Saturday in 52.56, which ranks second in the conference this season.
He was the Big West Freshman of the Year in men's track last season.
UCI will have competitors at the UCR Spring Classic in Riverside and the Texas Relays in Austin this weekend.
