No. 59 Anteaters Done In by No. 23 Dartmouth

IRVINE, Calif. --- No. 59 UC Irvine continued to slide losing its fourth in a row with a 5-2 defeat to No. 23 Dartmouth Monday afternoon at Anteater Tennis Stadium.
Doubles came down to the final point as they needed a tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles before the Big Green (13-1), equipped in pink tops for this match, won 8-6 to take the set, 8-7, and the opening point, 1-0.
Dartmouth also scored the first three singles points to clinch the match early. Kat Facey made the move up to No. 2 singles and got her first win there in straight sets, and Mazy Watrous followed with a come-from-behind effort at No. 5 singles for UCI's (9-7, 3-1) two points.
The 'Eaters' tough stretch doesn't let up returning to Anteater Tennis Stadium on Wed. Mar. 25 for an 11:00 a.m. match against No. 72 Sacramento State.
