PHOENIX, Ariz. --- UC Irvine flooded the winner's brackets over the weekend in Phoenix, Ariz. at the Grand Canyon Invite.
The lone titleholder was senior Justin Agbayani who claimed the Flight 2 Singles title with a three-set victory over Adrain Legarreta of GCU. He even had to go through teammate Vatsal Bajpai in the semifinals to get there.
Luca Marquard and Nico Mertens also squared off in the Flight 1 semifinals with Marquard prevailing in three sets. Marquard would finish second in the flight with Mertens picking up third place. Jonathan Poon also picked up a third-place prize in Flight 3.
Doubles play saw Caryl Hernandez and Anil Patel team up to take the Flight 3 Consolation title. Marquard and Poon finished second in Flight 1 with Jonathan Hammel and Tyler Pham claiming third place.
