
Kekauoha, Rosenfeld Earn All-Big West Conference Recognition

IRVINE, Calif. --- Harlee Kekauoha and Ella Rosenfeld garnered All-Big West Conference honors following the conclusion of the regular season.
Kekauoha earned a spot on both the all-conference first team and the all-freshman team while Rosenfeld was selected as an honorable mention choice.
Kekauoha ended her first year as an Anteater ranked sixth in the conference in kills with a 3.33 average. She led the team with 343 kills and hit .303, the ninth-best hitting percentage in the Big West. Kekauoha also topped UCI with 31 aces and posted a .30 average to sit fifth among the conference leaders.
The opposite posted eight double-double matches this year, knocking down a career-high 20 kills against CSUN and picking up a personal-best 15 digs against UC Davis and Rice. She hit an individual high of .750 against Seattle to lead all Big West players in three-set contests and was a two-time Big West Freshman of the Week. Kekauoha joins teammates Marisa Bubica and Shelley Anderson, who were named to the all-freshman team in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
Rosenfeld earned her first all-conference honor after leading the team and finishing fifth in the conference with a .322 hitting percentage. The middle blocker topped the Anteaters in blocks with a .81 average, logging 75 block assists and 11 solo blocks. She was named to the Idaho Classic All-Tournament team after a career-high effort of 15 kills against the Vandals and she also recorded a single-match high 10 total blocks against UCF this year.
The senior was third on the team with 222 kills, averaging 2.09 per set to go along with 10 aces.
The Anteaters finished the year 13-15 overall and fifth in the conference at 7-9 under first-year head coach, Ashlie Hain.
