Kekauoha Captures Big West Freshman Of The Week Nod

IRVINE, Calif. --- Harlee Kekauoha earned Big West Freshman of the Week honors after hitting a combined .460 in two matches last week.
The opposite committed just six errors in 63 attempts. She hit .387 with a team-high 15 kills against Long Beach State and added 14 digs for her sixth double-double match of the season.
Kekauoha then propelled UC Irvine to a sweep of CSUN with a career-high 20 kills and blasted a .531 hitting percentage, the third-best clip of the year for the freshman. She tacked on six digs, her second ace of the week and a solo stuff.
Kekauoha is the team leader in kills with 283 and aces with 28.
The weekly is her second and the team's fourth of the year.
