
UC Irvine Travels to No. 24 Hawai'i

- UCI takes on its first ranked team of the year when the Anteaters travel to No. 24 Hawai'i this Saturday.
- The Anteaters, the top team in the Big West in hitting percentage (.255), takes on the best blocking team this week as the Rainbow Wahine boast a 3.17 blocking average.
- UCI continues to be the conference leader in kills (14.23) and assists (13.15).
NATIONAL RANKINGS
- UCI is tabbed eighth in the country in team kills with 868 and 15th in kills per set.
- The team is 10th in total assists (802) and 21st in assist average (13.15).
- Marisa Bubica is 34th in kill average (4.19) and 40th with 222 kills on the year.
- Cassidy Pickrell is in the top 10 at No. 8 with 29 aces and 29th with a .48 average.
- Shelley Anderson is dishing out the ball at a 10.91 average to rank 34th.
- Arden Davis is 39th in total digs (272).
- Pickrell and Allison Lee are both ranked in total kills with Pickrell at No. 47 (.216) and Lee at No. 98 (194).
DAVIS TAKES OVER TOP SPOT IN BIG WEST
- Davis moved up to the No. 1 spot in the Big West with a 4.46 dig average.
- In action last week, Davis totaled 39 digs in two matches, logging 20 against Long Beach State.
- The sophomore is third on the team with 14 aces.
ANDERSON, BUBICA REMAIN CONFERENCE LEADERS
- Shelley Anderson is the Big West leader in assist average.
- The sophomore, who has 589 assists this season, has also posted 105 digs and 15 blocks to go along with 12 aces.
- Bubica is first in the conference in kill average, is eighth in hitting (.299) and second in points, averaging 4.39 per set.
- In two matches last week, Bubica put away 29 kills.
PICKRELL MAKES JUMP TO THIRD
- Cassidy Pickrell led UCI in kills in the team's two matches last week and moved from fifth to third in the conference in points scored at 4.39.
- The outside hitter totaled 21 kills against Long Beach State and 18 against CSUN to average 4.33 per set.
- Pickrell also fired four aces in the two contests and scooped up 19 digs against LBSU for her sixth double-double of the year.
- Pickrell is third in the conference in aces (0.48) and fourth in kills at 3.54.
LEE TIES CAREER-HIGH
- Allison Lee fired three aces against CSUN, tying a career-high.
- Lee, who has posted three aces in four contests this year, has amassed 23 service winners and is ranked fourth in the conference with a .38 average.
- Lee is also third on the team and seventh in the conference with a 3.18 kill average.
- She can also be found among the top 10 in points scored at No. 9 and has tallied 3.84 points per set.
YODER GIVES SEASON-BEST DIG EFFORT
- Molly Yoder scooped up 13 digs against Long Beach State, a season-high for the defensive specialist.
- Yoder, who has posted double-figure digs three times this year, is averaging 1.85 digs per set.
- Senior Arielle Manz had five block assists last week, totaling 211 in her career thus far.
- The middle blocker, who is averaging .62 blocks per set, is four away from tying the No. 11 spot in the UCI career records, currently held by Anteater alumna, Aly Squires (2010-13), who registered 215.
- Manz is second on the team with 28 total blocks and fifth with 71 kills.
- Hawaii is tied for first in the Big West at 2-0 and is 10-3 overall.
- UH's Olivia Magill leads the conference in hitting percentage at .409 and blocking at 1.58.
- Tai Manu-Olevao and Taylor Higgings are a 1-2 punch from behind the service line at .54 and .51, respectively.
- UCI has never beaten Hawaii and is 0-28 against the Rainbow Wahine.
