NORWALK, Calif. --- UC Irvine freshman Isaiah Thompson finished second in the 1500 meters at the 20th Beach Invitational at Cerritos College Saturday.
Thompson ran a career-best time of 3:47.53 to finish runner-up overall of the 113 competitors.
Freshman Lloyd Sicard placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles invitational race in 14.68.
Stephen Brown finished fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 16-0 and Mason Miller was sixth in the shot put at 55-8 ¼.
