No. 38 Anteaters Triumphant in Rainy Match

SAN DIEGO, Calif. --- UCI women's tennis endured two days of tennis to sweep No. 48 San Diego State, 4-0, at the Aztec Tennis Complex.
UC Irvine (2-3) began play Thursday by taking the doubles point at positions 1 and 3 for the early 1-0 lead.
Singles play was halted near the end of the opening sets due to rain. The squads started up play again Friday at 3 p.m. and the 'Eaters quickly claimed the final three points thanks to sweeps by Kat Facey, Sarah Gong, and the clincher, Sarah Stadfelt.
The 'Eaters return to the win column to go 2-3, and step into conference play next week hosting Cal State Fullerton, Thurs. Feb. 13, at 1:30 p.m.
