IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine women's indoor track and field team opens its season Jan. 24 as the 2015 schedule has been released.

Second-year head coach Jeff Perkins' squad begins its schedule in the Lumberjack Team Challenge at Flagstaff, Ariz., Jan. 24.

UCI then competes in the Washington Invitational at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle Jan. 30-31 before traveling to Albuquerque, N.M., for the Don Kirby Collegiate Open Feb. 13-14.

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championships are in Seattle Feb. 27-28.

Senior Itos Aikhionbare finished fourth in the shot put at last year's MPSF Championships with an indoor personal-best mark of 50-3 ¼.

Sophomore Megan George placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2014 MPSF meet with a time of 8.65 seconds.
