'EATERS FACE TRITONS, TROJANS
● UC Irvine travels to No. 6 UC San Diego Saturday for a non-conference game before hosting No. 3 USC Sunday in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation contest. Both games have 12:00 p.m. starts
● UCI has come up short in a pair of one-goal games vs. UCSD this season, 10-9 at the NorCal Classic Sept. 20 and 8-7 in overtime at the SoCal Tournament Oct. 11. Sunday marks the first meeting of the season between UCI and USC.
● UCI is coming off an 11-9 loss at Pepperdine last Saturday. Jared Osborn led the 'Eaters with two goals.
● Starting with Sunday's game against USC, Coach Marc Hunt's 'Eaters play their final three regular-season games at home. UCI hosts California Baptist Wednesday night in a non-conference game and UC Santa Barbara next Saturday (Nov. 15) in an MPSF contest.
UC IRVINE TEAM NOTES
● Sophomore Lovre Milos leads UCI and the MPSF with 78 goals and a scoring average of 3.55 per game. He has scored at least five goals in nine games this season.
● Freshman Matt Skinner has scored 34 goals and senior Jacob Mourer 32 for the 'Eaters this year.
● Other double-digit scorers for UCI are sophomore Kyle Trush (25), senior Alan Robertson and junior Jared Osborn with 22 apiece, junior Larson Pfeil (19), freshman Ryan Warde (17), senior Justin Papa with 12 and junior Pablo Carballo with 11.
● Freshman goalie Byron Rivers ranks first in the MPSF with an average of 12.26 saves per game and junior Dylan Peterson is second in the league with an average of 11.88 stops per contest.
● Admission is free to UCI men's water polo home games this season.
