
Anteaters Travel to No. 16 Long Beach State, CSUN In Regular-Season Finale

- The Anteaters (8-6) look to spoil LBSU's (14-0) bid for a perfect Big West slate this Wednesday at the Pyramid.
- The match will be broadcast on ESPN3 with first serve set for 7:05 PM.
- UCI then makes a trip to CSUN for the last match of the regular season for both teams this Saturday.
PICKRELL LEADS ANTEATERS
- Cassidy Pickrell put away 16 kills and tied the team-high with 17 digs to help UCI to a 3-1 win over CS Fullerton.
- The outside hitter is fifth in the Big West in points per set at 4.04 and is ranked fifth in kill average (3.48) and third in aces (.38).
- Pickrell has recorded 11 double-doubles this year.
MANZ BLOCKS SEASON-HIGH
- Arielle Manz logged a season-high six block assists against the Titans, passing her previous best of five block assists posted against CSF earlier in the season.
- Manz's block total was one shy of a season-best seven, which she recorded against UC Davis.
- The middle blocker also totaled eight kills and hit .286 to climb up one spot in the Big West to No. 8 with a .310 hitting percentage.
- Manz can also be found in UCI's career block assist records at No. 10 and has amassed 247 in her Anteater tenure.
LEE GRABS ACE LEAD
- Allison Lee aced the Titans three times and moved into the team lead with 42 on the year.
- The outside hitter also had her 15th double-double of the season with 15 kills and 17 digs to go along with four block assists, tying a season-high.
- Lee committed just one error in 44 swings for a .318 hitting percentage.
- The senior is second in the conference in aces (.39), 10th in kills (3.08), 10th in digs (3.28) and eighth in points (3.73).
DAVIS SLIDES UP ONE SPOT
- Arden Davis was one of three Anteaters to record 17 digs last week and continues to lead the Big West with a 4.45 average.
- With 485 digs on the year, Davis is now seventh in the UCI single-season records, passing former Anteater Kristin Winkler, who totaled 479 in 2009.
- With two matches remaining, Davis is eyeing the sixth spot in the record books, held by Devon Sutherland, who logged 523 in 2006.
DENNIS ADD DOUBLE-DIGIT KILLS
- Victoria Dennis recorded her fourth match with double-figure kills after knocking down 15 last week.
- The redshirt sophomore hit .244 and had two block assists in the win.
ANDERSON LOOKING TO PULL AWAY FROM PACK
- Shelley Anderson holds fast to the top spot in the Big West with a 10.76 assist average.
- Anderson totaled 53 assists in the win against CSF and also had a career-high three aces to go along with four total blocks.
- In addition to Anderson, three Big West setters are averaging at least 10 assists per set and Anderson will square off against two of them this week. CSUN's Steffi Miller is third (10.32) and LBSU's Jenelle Hudson is fourth at 10.24.
YODER GIVES ANTEATERS BACK ROW REINFORCEMENTS
- Molly Yoder made the start this past Saturday and scooped up 10 digs as four Anteaters had double-figure digs.
- Yoder, who has reached double-digits eight times this year, has 222 digs on the season to sit fourth on the team.
LOOKING AT LONG BEACH STATE
- Long Beach State is ranked 16th in this week's AVCA Coaches poll and owns a 24-4 record.
- The team is led by Bre Mackie, who is averaging 2.83 kills and is fifth in the Big West with a 1.16 block average.
- LBSU holds a 2.81-1.98 advantage at the net.
- UCI will look to avenge a 3-1 loss and trails 67-8 in the all-time series records.
LOOKING AT THE MATADORS
- Cal State Northridge is 18-8 overall and is fourth in the Big West at 9-5.
- The team is led by Danetta Boykin and Cieana Stinton. Boykin holds the edge in kill average at 3.24 while Stinson has a team-high 298 kills.
- CSUN leads the league in hitting percentage (2.67), assists (13.06) and kills (14.05).
- UCI pushed the Matadors to five sets in late September at the Bren Center but trail in the all-time series, 25-23.
