Big West Championships Information/Schedule
IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine competes in the 2013 Big West Conference Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday at Cal State Northridge.
Field events begin at 9:00 a.m. and track events at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the Northridge Track & Field Complex. The first field event Saturday is at 9:00 a.m. with track events beginning at 2:08 p.m.
Fox Sports West Prime Ticket will televise Saturday's action from 2:00-5:30 p.m. Paul Sunderland and Dan Moriarty will be calling the meet.
UCI's Sam Hyams (3:46.21) and Riley Martin (3:46.53) rank 3-4 in the conference this season in the 1500 meters.
Mason Miller ranks third in the Big West this year in the shot put (57-0) and seventh in the discus throw (163-8).
Alex Campbell is No. 4 in the high jump (6-6 ¾) and Nick Jennings is fifth in the pole vault (16-6 ¾).
Kyle Hubbard ranks seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 14.96.
