Riley Martin Named ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week

MARTIN NAMED ESPN ZONE ANAHEIM ANTEATER OF THE WEEK
Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine men's track and field athlete Riley Martin has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The sophomore from Valencia had an impressive showing on Saturday afternoon at the Big West Track and Field Championships at Cal State Northridge. Martin, won the 1500 meters race with a late kick, with a time of 3:49.68. He became the second Anteater runner in the past three years to win the event at the conference meet. Fellow teammate Sam Hyams placed sixth with a time of 3:51.95. On the season, his best finish came at the Oxy Invitational, where he placed third of 144 runners with a time of 3:46.53, ranking him ninth all-time at UCI in the 1500 meter.
