A Dozen UC Irvine Honorees on MPSF All-Academic Team

IRVINE, Calif. --- Twelve members of the UC Irvine women's indoor track and field team have earned 2013 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors.
UCI's student-athletes receiving the award are Itos Aikhionbare, Marie Brashears, Chloe Fata, Lauren Hackney, Kira Helmer, Kaycee Holcomb, Margaret McDuffee, Nicole Mendoza, Carlotta Pham, Chelsea Schneider, Lacey Surak and KayC Wharton.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade-point average, be at least a sophomore academically, must have completed one full academic year at their institution, and competed in at least 50 percent of their institution's meets.
