Strong Performances for 'Eaters at Aztec Invitational

Aztec Invitational Men's Results
SAN DIEGO, Calif. --- Several student-athletes turned in solid performances at the Aztec Invitational Saturday that places them in the Big West's top five this season.
Mason Miller finished fifth in the invitational shot put with a mark of 54-9 ¼ that puts him No. 4 in the Big West this season and he was ninth in the discus throw at 161-1 that ranks fifth in the league.
Stephen Brown posted a mark of 15-8 ¼ in the pole vault that is No. 5 in the Big West and James Douglas ran a lifetime-best time of 14.72 in the 110-meter hurdles that is also fifth in the conference this season.
UCI hosts the Spring Break Invitational at Anteater Stadium this weekend. On Friday, competition in the hammer throw begins at 3:00 p.m. with the first track event at 6:00 p.m.
Field events begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the track events starting at 1:00 p.m.
