UC Irvine Opens Competition at Husky Classic

SEATTLE, Wash. --- UC Irvine's Lauren Hackney finished third in her section of the 200 meters in the first day of the Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, Wash., Friday.
Hackney had a time of 26.36 as Chantel Desch of Simon Fraser won the section in 26.19.
Bridget Devaney placed ninth in her flight of the weight throw with a mark of 40-0 ¾.
Most of UC Irvine's team will be competing Saturday in the final day of the meet.
